On-site Activities



YOU DON’T HAVE TO LEAVE THE CAMPSITE

ON-SITE ACTIVITIES

We are happy to assist you in planning your program before you arrive and leading activities during your stay with us. We simply ask that you contact us at least five weeks prior to your arrival. This will allow us to organise staff and equipment, and determine if there are any costs associated with your chosen activities.


OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES

We offer a wide range of outdoor activities. Scroll down to check them out.

INDOOR ACTIVITIES

If the weather turns bad, we’ve got you covered. Our indoor facilities table tennis, pool, foosball and air hockey, all available for casual use. We also have a supply of wet-weather games on hand. With prior notice, we can organise trivia and quiz events.




ARCHERY

A great activity for anyone who enjoys a challenge. First-time archers are welcome. Junior and adult bow options are available. All sessions to be conducted under supervision of Araluen staff or another qualified Instructor.




BASKETBALL RING

A basketball ring and trampolines are available for casual (non-supervised) use.




BEACH VOLLEYBALL

A very popular team-building activity, simple to organise and participate in. Equipment available for casual (non-supervised) use.




BUSH WALKING

There are some wonderful walking paths along the Anglesea River, in the bush or along the cliff tops. These can be done as guided walks or self-guided, by day and evening.




LOW ROPES COURSE

There are ten elements (continuous) designed to build confidence, teamwork and balancing skills. All sessions must be conducted under the supervision of Araluen staff or another qualified instructor. (A High Ropes course can be made available according to pre-existing bookings.)




ORIENTEERING

This is a great exercise for encouraging teamwork and improving observation and navigation skills. This activity can be done individually or in small groups. You must organise this with us in advance.




SPORTS OVAL

You can organise your own team games, have a kick of the football, play cricket or soccer etc.




TEAM BUILDING

A variety of exercises and games are available to encourage team work, problem solving and leadership development, eg Traverse, Equilibrium. As needs vary from group to group, these activities require pre-planning in consultation with camp organisers.
